What fascia is (and is not)
In Division 12 language, a front fascia is an aluminum extrusion that conceals the front and underside of the roller and operating mechanism when the shade is raised. Buyers also say cassette, valance, or headbox.
Our product is a single-roller aluminum fascia cassette — not a recessed ceiling pocket, not a dual-roller ~7" housing, and not a continuous multi-band architectural extrusion across coupled shades.
Why offices, schools, and restaurants specify it

3" vs 4"
Both sizes are industry-standard for single rollers. Choose the height that fully covers the rolled fabric stack for your drop and fabric. Select 3" or 4" in the roller configurator; cordless bundles the matching cassette.

Suggested specification language
Provide extruded aluminum fascia cassette, 3 inch or 4 inch height as required to conceal roller and operating mechanism when shade is fully raised. Finish: selected from manufacturer’s standard colors (white, alabaster, silver, bronze, black). Fascia width cut to opening; color-matched to shade. Cordless operation includes fascia; continuous cord loop operation: fascia optional.
Fascia vs fabric performance
Fascia is appearance and protection. Glare, openness, blackout, and solar heat performance live in the fabric. Flame-resistance requirements in school/commercial specs apply to shade fabric (commonly NFPA 701) — not to the aluminum fascia. Do not treat “Class A look” as an ASTM fire rating.
Measuring note
Enter the window opening width. We build the fascia ⅛" narrower than the width you enter so the shade sits cleanly inside the cassette.

Does cordless include fascia?
Yes. Matching aluminum fascia is included on cordless roller builds. On continuous cord loop / chain, fascia is optional.
Does fascia make the shade fire-rated?
No. Fire-performance requirements apply to the fabric. Ask for fabric documentation separately when a project requires it.
Do you offer dual 7" fascia for solar + blackout?
Not as a dual-cassette product. For conference rooms, order two single-roller shades (solar + blackout), each with its own 3" or 4" fascia as needed.
