- What does "light filtering" actually mean?
- The fabric is a tight weave that lets daylight through while diffusing it — you get a bright room without direct sun or hard glare. It is the opposite of blackout, which is fully opaque. Openness (1% or 3%) describes how open the weave is: 1% is tighter with more glare control, 3% keeps a bit more view-through.
- Are light filtering shades private at night?
- During the day, yes — you can see out and people cannot see in. At night with interior lights on, the balance flips and silhouettes can be visible from outside. For bedrooms and bathrooms, blackout is the better choice.
- Should I pick 1% or 3% openness?
- 1% for stronger glare and heat control (west sun, screens, offices); 3% when you want to keep more of the view. If you are unsure, order free samples and hold them against the glass.
- What is the difference between Green 2000 and Green 3000?
