Why storefront glass gets Green 2000
Street-facing and office glass needs monitor-friendly glare control without blocking the view. Black Green 2000 is the product we actually hang on commercial storefronts.
- Public storefront and lobby glass: black Green 2000
- Open offices and desks: same black Green 2000 solar mesh
- Wide curtainwall: paired rollers at mullions
- Conference rooms may add a separate blackout roller (not storefront fabric)
- Skip vinyl mini and faux wood on storefront spans
The commercial storefront product
Black Green 2000 is basically the only roller we use for commercial storefronts and offices. Shop the Green 2000 line; start with Black.
Green 2000 — Black (commercial default)
Black Green 2000 solar roller shades are what we install on commercial storefronts and offices — glare control with view-through, aluminum fascia finish.

Typical opening → blind size
Storefront openings vary by mullion layout — order Green 2000 to measured width × height:
| Opening (approx.) | Order size | Room |
|---|---|---|
| Mullion bay | Custom Green 2000 roller | Storefront / curtainwall |
| Wide multi-bay | Paired Green 2000 rollers | Long storefront runs |
| Desk / punch window | Custom Green 2000 roller | Interior office glass |
Mounting by material & situation
Spec black Green 2000 rollers with fascia. Mount and measure from the commercial glass, not a residential stock size chart.

Fascia mount on storefront / curtainwall
Pro often usedMeasure mullion-to-mullion. Mount fascia above or on the header so the tube stays hidden. Confirm handle, door swing, and mullion clearance at full drop.
- Min depth:
- Fascia / face mount typical
- Hardware:
- Aluminum fascia brackets; fasteners into solid header / mullion structure
1% vs 3% openness
3% is the usual open-office / storefront default. Use 1% on west or south glass when monitors face the window or glare is severe.
Paired shades on wide bays
Very wide storefront bays often need paired Green 2000 rollers meeting at a mullion rather than one impractical tube.
When to use professional install
We ship custom-cut blinds nationwide from Texas. In-home installation is available in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro only — outside DFW, send our measuring notes to your local installer.
