Independent retailer notice: Home Builder Blinds is an independent window-treatment retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Perry Homes. "Perry Homes" is a trademark of its respective owner and is referenced here only to describe the kinds of production-built homes our blinds commonly fit. The window patterns below describe general production-home tendencies, not any builder's proprietary specifications. Always measure your own windows before ordering.
Typical Window Patterns in Perry Homes
Perry builds at scale across master-planned communities in Texas suburbs. That volume means repeated window SKUs across floorplans — your neighbors in the same section often share your width families even when exterior elevations differ.
- Strong presence in Houston, DFW, Austin, and San Antonio growth corridors
- Bedrooms: ~35" openings (34.5" blinds) on most plans
- Open kitchen–family layouts: 47"–58" living-area windows
- Larger single-family plans: 71" great-room and picture windows
- Patio sliders common — roller shades or bare glass at move-in

The patterns above are a starting point — your specific floorplan and any builder upgrades can shift them, so always measure. Measure each opening's width at the top, middle, and bottom and height at left, center, and right. For an inside mount, report the exact opening and the factory deducts about ½" for clearance; for an outside mount, add 1.5–2" of overlap per side. Our measuring & installation guide has step-by-step instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size blinds do I need for a Perry Homes house?
Start with 34.5" blinds for standard bedrooms, then 46.5" and 57.5" for living areas. Wide great-room windows on larger Perry plans may need 70.5" blinds or wide roller shades. Measure each opening — community and elevation matter.
Does Perry Homes include blinds when you buy the home?
Inclusion varies by community and contract selections. Many Perry buyers receive bare windows at closing. Review your purchase agreement and Perry homeowner resources below, then measure before ordering custom-cut blinds.
Do you install blinds in Perry Homes communities in DFW?
Yes — we offer free in-home measuring and professional installation throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metro. We also ship custom-cut blinds nationwide if you prefer DIY install outside DFW.
What blinds are best for a new construction home?
2" faux wood blinds are the most popular choice for production homes — durable, moisture-resistant, and the lowest cost way to cover every window in one order. Roller shades offer a cleaner, modern look in living areas and bedrooms, but cost more per opening. Sliding patio doors are usually left uncovered or fitted with roller shades rather than vertical blinds.
