Independent retailer notice: Home Builder Blinds is an independent window-treatment retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Clayton Homes, Inc.. "Clayton" is a trademark of its respective owner and is referenced here only to describe the kinds of HUD-code manufactured and mobile homes our blinds commonly fit. The size bands below reflect general factory-built housing call-size tendencies (similar to common MH window modules) — not any manufacturer's proprietary floor-plan specifications. Series, plant, and model year vary. Always measure your own openings before ordering.
Window Patterns in Clayton Manufactured Homes
Clayton builds across multiple plants and brands. Series, chassis width, and options change the window package, so treat the bands below as starting points — not a dealer parts list.
- Single-wide (14'–18'): narrow bedroom and bath openings; living-area horizontal slider
- Double-wide: wider living-room slider — often 68×84 or 78×84 vertical territory
- Shallow vinyl jambs — often under 1½" clear depth for inside mount
- Factory modules vary by plant, series, and model year
- Replacement windows in parks can change sizes unit to unit

What Clayton Owners Usually Buy
Vinyl mini blinds dominate Clayton bedroom and bath orders. Faux wood is the living-room step-up (often outside mount). Vertical blinds or rollers cover living-area sliders and patio doors. In Dallas–Fort Worth, schedule a free measure; outside DFW we ship nationwide.

1" vinyl mini blinds
The default on manufactured-home bedrooms and baths — custom width to the exact opening, cordless lift, slim headrail for shallow jambs.

2" faux wood blinds
Living-room upgrade when you want a finished look — outside mount on the trim face is common when inside depth fails.

3.5" vertical blinds
Living-area horizontal sliders and patio doors — 68×84 and 78×84 pairs cover many double-wide modules once you confirm the opening.

Roller shades
Clean fabric line for patio doors and wider living-area glass when depth or outside-mount clearance allows.

The patterns above are a starting point — your specific floorplan and any builder upgrades can shift them, so always measure. Measure each opening's width at the top, middle, and bottom and height at left, center, and right. For an inside mount, report the exact opening and the factory deducts about ½" for clearance; for an outside mount, add 1.5–2" of overlap per side. Our measuring & installation guide has step-by-step instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size blinds do I need for a Clayton home?
Start from typical manufactured-home width bands — roughly 22"–28" for small bedrooms and baths, 30"–36" for primary bedrooms, 48"–60" for living-area horizontal sliders, and 68×80 patio territory on many double-wides — then measure each opening. Clayton plants and series reuse factory window modules, but call sizes still vary by floor plan and year. Order custom-cut blinds to your exact widths; do not assume a 34.5" production-builder blind will fit.
Will standard 34.5" builder blinds fit my Clayton manufactured home?
Usually not without measuring. Manufactured homes use factory modules with widths that often fall outside the suburban production-builder chart. Measure each opening and order custom-cut blinds to the exact width you need.
Inside or outside mount on a Clayton home?
Check depth first. Manufactured frames are often under 1½" clear return. If depth fails, plan outside mount on the trim face — especially for 2" faux wood. 1" vinyl mini may inside-mount when roughly 1" clear depth is available at both top corners.
Do you ship blinds to mobile home parks?
Yes — we ship nationwide. Provide the home address, lot number, and any gate or office delivery instructions when ordering to a land-lease community. In Dallas–Fort Worth, schedule a free measure for a quote with installation included; outside DFW we ship for DIY or local install.
What blinds are best for a Clayton home?
1" vinyl mini blinds are the default for Clayton bedrooms and baths — slim headrail, custom width, cordless lift. Step up to 2" faux wood (often outside mount) in living areas, and use 3.5" vertical blinds or rollers on living-area sliders and patio doors. Pick one product and color for the whole home when you can.
